Wow. Nothing has happened.

Andreia and I are SO wrapped up in Facebook and Twitter that we totally have abandoned our special little blog. That is sad. Of course like 7 people were reading this, but it was a good way to share our thoughts/pictures/stories with some of our closest friends and family. Apparently in the last few months NOTHING important happened with our family. Haha. I am going to try my best to bring back our once strong blog. I will start with this:

We went to Brazil this summer which was great. Every time we go there we have thoughts (small, but there) of living in Brazil at some point in our lives. It would be a great way for Andreia’s family to FINALLY spend a lot of time with all of us and it would be a great way for me to learn Portuguese fluently. Something you may not know about Jeff, he speaks Portuguese fairly well. Its true. Anyway, it is an option, but one we are not taking lightly. I wouldn’t worry about us leaving though, life here in the States is wonderful. Here are a few pics of the trip, in case you haven’t seen them already:

Mothers Day.

We are in Lufkin with Jan and her family for Mother’s Day. It’s great. My mom has done so much for me throughout my life, even after I got married. She is the perfect Mimi and always has time to talk to her boy. Happy Mother’s Day mom, we love you.

Oh, and to Andreia. I am still not sure why you put up with me, but I am glad you do. You are the best mother I have ever seen. August loves you so much and is lucky to have a wonderful mother like you. We love you VERY MUCH!!

Donuts.

If there is one thing August LOVES to eat it is donut (doughnut) holes. Well, for the past 2 weeks I have taken him in the mornings to my favorite donut place in Tyler for an early morning sweet treat. Here is what that looks like. Do you think he looks like me or Dreiars?

Wow, it has almost been 2 weeks since we updated our blog. Pitiful. I had a blog not too long ago that I updated EVERY chance I got. I guess Twitter and Facebook have changed my blogging habits. I try to get Andreia to post here, but it is not really her thing. So anyway…

Do you ever get in a mood or feel like you just don’t want to do anything? You know…not just feeling tired or lazy, just feeling like you would be ok with doing nothing for the rest of your life. Haha. That sounds unhealthy. But really, I feel that way right now. I think a trip to Italy or Hawaii would help things out..what do you say Dreairs?

Chuck.

It is Chuck Norris’ birthday today. In his honor, here are some tasty facts about him (I know they are old, but hey, it’s his birthday):

On the set of Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris brought a dying lamb back to life by nuzzling it with his beard. As the onlookers gathered, the lamb sprang to life. Chuck Norris then roundhouse kicked it, killing it instantly. This was just to prove that the good Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away.

If you work in an office with Chuck Norris, don’t ask him for his three-hole-punch.

Surprise!

I sometimes stop at a local gas station when I am in need of a Sugar Free Red Bull (diabetic), toilet or some gas. Well, the first time I found the restroom there, THIS guy was waiting in the corner…needless to say I was reminded of the time my friend Neal asked a store owner in Colorado “do you know where I can find a big wooden indian”?

Ouch.

Wow, this is about as close as you can come to death. I am sure you saw this:

Burger Night.

Mmmmh. Burger night. This evening was nearly perfect, so we tried to take advantage of it. Here is what something like that might look like:

V-day Dinner.

Well, turns out I am one heck of a cook. Here is what our Vday dinner looked like. Sorry the pics are so bad, I used my cell phone. Bad choice.

The candles were lit, and the lights were turned way down low.

This is what the table looked like before the meal. Foccia bread “dip”. Bread. Wine from KE Cellars in Tyler. Caesar salad made my Andreia Pessutto Montilha Williford.

Meat. Yum. I know it looks weird, but it tasted wonderful.
